About Us
Duncan Family Farms began in 1985 when fourth-generation Arizona farmer Arnott Duncan set out on his own, growing conventional vegetables in the Goodyear/Buckeye area. Alongside his wife Kathleen, the farm soon expanded beyond production into community engagement, with a farm stand and agritourism events that reflected their shared passion for education and food. By 1994, inspired by growing public interest in organic produce, they transitioned to large-scale organic farming. Over the years, the farm grew into a nationally recognized leader in organic leafy greens and herbs, expanding operations into California, Oregon, New York, and beyond to provide year-round availability and regional diversity.
Throughout their evolution, Duncan Family Farms has remained rooted in a mission to produce healthy food, care for the environment, and support community well-being. They’re certified organic and Sustainably Grown, operating one of the Southwest’s largest private composting programs to nourish soil health naturally. With a strong focus on values like integrity, teamwork, and community, they’ve built partnerships with schools, food banks, and institutions such as Arizona State University to advance sustainable farming and food access. Today, Duncan Family Farms continues to grow—literally and figuratively—while staying true to the principles that shaped its beginnings.
